Here's how to get Google Apps on your phone.

  1. Enable IMAP in your Gmail settings:
    1. Sign in to Gmail.
    2. Click the gear icon  in the upper right, then select Settings.
    3. Click Forwarding and POP/IMAP.
    4. Select Enable IMAP.
    5. Click Save Changes.
  2. Visit and change your password. You can choose a new password or re-enter your current password. This is a necessary step before setting up your mobile device.
  1. Navigate to Settings on your Android device (note that certain things may vary depending on phone manufacturer, e.g. Settings may also be called Accounts & Settings, Settings & Options).
  2. On the Settings page, navigate to Accounts & sync (this may also be called Accounts).
  3. Select Add account.
  4. Select the Google option to add your Simmons Google Apps account.
  5. Select the Existing option (this may also be called Sign-in).
  6. Enter your Simmons email address and password, then select Sign in or Done.

    Please note that to configure your email, you will need to use the
    "" version of your email address, and not the" version.

  7. If prompted, select which services you would like to sync, and then press Sync now.

Other options for access
Use your phone's mobile browser You can also access your apps from your Android's browser app. Just point the browser to, touch the app you want to use, and sign in to your Google Apps account.
